Night Theme

During the mid 1990's Nick Hedderly started to develop a strand of work based on specific locations around Nottingham at night.  These were largely produced in a wide horizontal format.  This approach allowed the painter to combine the dramatic imagery of his earlier abstract pieces with a sense of place in his own mind.  Importantly it also allowed him to retain absract elements within his work.
